Merkur Offshore Wind Farm

The Offshore Wind Farm ‘Merkur’ is located in the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the North Sea, approximately 45 km north of Borkum Island. The Wind Farm occupies an area of 47 km² and will comprise 66 number 6 MW wind energy converters (WECs), including ancillary facilities such as internal cabling and a substation in the permit area. GeoSea undertakes the EPCI Contract for the Balance of Plant (BoP) including the design, procurement, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of the foundation structures, park internal cables and offshore substation. Tebeton has been engaged by GeoSea to manage the design of the WEC foundations including independent certification and release for construction by the German authorities (BSH).
