AP5 Project Marine Structures
As an expansion of the existing Berths AP1 to AP4 the new Berth AP5 has been constructed directly adjacent and aligned with Berth AP4, located at Anderson Point, Port Hedland, Western Australia. Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) awarded the contract to design and construct the marine structures to a joint venture of BAM International and Clough. The scope of Berth AP5 included an iron ore loading wharf, transfer deck, mooring and breasting dolphins as well as an approach trestle including elevated conveyor bridge. Tebeton supported BAM with work preparation and engineering services with a focus on the installation of the wharf deck modules which were fabricated in Nantong, China.
